Financial Innovation Awards

Nominations

Entry is open to any institution that has implemented an innovative project, service or initiative within the financial services sector, or from a technology vendor in the relevant award categories during the past year (since January 2007). Nominations are free to submit and may be from within the financial services organisation, from a technology vendor or from a third party with the permission of the named financial institution.

The closing date for all entries has been extended to Friday 18 July*.

For the nomination form:

  1. Describe your nominated project in the context of your business area and summarise how it is innovative and/or effective as part of your wider business activities and how it was implemented. (Marks out of 10)
  2. Explain the non-financial impact of your successfully implemented project on your business, your customers and/or the market. How is the project running now? Metrics will be helpful. (Marks out of 10)
  3. What is financial impact on your business? Please use quantified evidence to demonstrate your success; this can be in actual numbers, or in percentages, ratios or ROI figures, or any other supporting numerical data. (Marks out of 10)
  4. What is the current status of your project? Do you have plans to expand, progress or modify it in the future? (Marks out of 10)

Note:

  1. Confidentiality will be respected in all cases with information shared only within the events team and the judges.
  2. Previously short-listed entries have demonstrated the principles of Innovation, Change and Excellence and have provided answers to each of the four sections listed above. Click here for hints and tips to help you with your entry.
  3. A broad case summary may be presented should you be named as a finalist.

Nomination Information

Your nomination entry:

  1. Should address the judging criteria set out above, answering each of the questions, and with quantified evidence that the project's goal(s) have been met.
  2. Should be concise and written in no more than 1200 words (maximum four single A4 sides in total length, including graphics). Links may be provided in the text to website information, which will be viewed at the judges' discretion.
  3. Should be submitted in Microsoft Word file type using Arial 11pt type size, with pages numbered and with company and category name on each page.
  4. The submitted file should not exceed 3MB in size.
  5. Will be acknowledged upon receipt. If you have not received an acknowledgement within five working days, please contact the events team on +44 (0) 207 444 7113 as promptly as possible.

The ifs School of Finance reserves the right to edit or shorten entries, particularly where the word count is exceeded. This may impact the strength of the nomination. In addition, the ifs may decide to change, split or reduce award categories if the number and quality of nominations justifies this measure.
